The Historic Stamps of Sarawak Welcome to my Sarawak Stamp Album home. Here you will find a wonderful collection of Rajah Brooke, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II stamps in a professionally designed Sarawak stamp album. This collection covers the period starting from the very first stamp of Sarawak of 1869 to the last Queen Elizabeth II Freedom from Hunger issue of 1963 - spanning a time horizon of almost a hundred years.
Most of what I am showing here are complete Sarawak sets - in both mint and used varieties. I have also included several pieces and blocks that are quite interesting as well. The number at the bottom of each stamp is the Scott Catalog number. In cases where there are no Scott numbers, I have listed Stanley Gibbons numbers instead. The introductory write ups for the sets came straight out of the book "The Stamps and Postal History of Sarawak" by W.R. Forrester-Wood (published by The Sarawak Specialists Society)

With the exceptions of some of the overprint issues and sets during the Japanese occupation, you will find a comprehensive display of some of the most beautiful mint and used sets, singles and blocks of postage and revenue stamps of Sarawak. Please note that "modern" Sarawak issues from the time she became part of the Federation of Malaysia are also not included in this album.
